Due to popular demand, plant-based is back! Following the incredible success of the Plant-Based Katsu Musubi in 2023, which sold out in stores and created a buzz on social media, we’ve listened to our customers and brought back another exciting plant-based product, a Meatball Bento! This new addition reinforces our commitment to innovate and cater to the evolving tastes of our community, offering more plant-based options that don’t just meet but exceed expectations.

Diving into the world of animal-free cuisine, our Meatless Karaage Meatball Bento sets a new standard for meat-free meals. Crafted with care, each meatball is 100% plant-based, seasoned to perfection with the authentic flavors of karaage chicken. Topped with a sweet unagi sauce and a kick of spicy sauce for that added punch, these meatballs are an irresistible blend of flavors. “We’ve created this bento with the aim of offering a plant-based option that doesn’t compromise on taste or authenticity. Inspired by traditional Japanese recipes and using ingredients like ginger and garlic, we’re bringing a piece of culinary art to our customers,” shares Lehua Lash, 7-Eleven Hawai‘i’s Fresh Food Category Manager. Served on a bed of purple multi-grain rice with steamed broccoli on the side, this bento is designed for the health-conscious and environmentally aware customer. Our previous success with the Plant-Based Katsu Musubi has shown us that our customers are eagerly seeking plant-based options that align with their health, wellness, and environmental values.

Starting March 12, 2024, customers across the islands can try this one-of-a-kind bento at any of the 67 stores. Priced at $6.29, this Meatless Karaage Meatball Bento is not just for plant-based eaters, but to be savored by everyone. At 7-Eleven Hawai‘i, we’re more than just a convenience store; we’re a part of your way of life, constantly striving to meet your needs with quality, convenience, and a touch of creative culinary creation.
