HONOLULU, HI (June 3, 2019) – Beginning June 7, all 7-Eleven Hawaii stores will add Hawaiian Airlines Exclusive Blend to its line of fresh brewed coffee.  Until now, this exclusive blend was only available to guests on Hawaiian’s international, U.S. Mainland, and neighbor island flights.  This partnership was made possible by Hawaii Coffee Company, the owner of Lion Coffee.  This special blend will be available for a limited time only.

Hawaiian Airlines sought a coffee partner that could meet its expectations in quality and overall sensory experience.  Lion Coffee, a trusted Hawaii brand, checked all the boxes and is the perfect complement to its menu of island-inspired beverages and cuisine.  The Hawaiian Airlines Exclusive Blend uses select 100 percent Arabica coffee beans most optimal for this blend, roasted a darker French roast to bring out a rich aroma and bold flavors.  The taste profile of this blend is smooth, full-bodied and bright, with a clean finish.

7-Eleven Hawaii has been serving Lion Coffee as well as Royal Kona Coffee for over two decades.  With its recent HawaiianMiles partnership, Mark Imada, Merchandising Manager, believed that serving Hawaiian Airlines Exclusive Blend was a sensible next step. “When I learned about the partnership between Hawaiian Airlines and Lion Coffee, I was excited.  The opportunity to have both locally trusted companies work on this project with us is significant.”
