With white sand beaches, hiking and horseback trails, golf courses and a seemingly endless shoreline, there are activities available for all ages. Many of Mākaha’s residents were born and raised on this side of the island and this leeward (western) neighborhood provides a glimpse into what it’s like to live (mostly) free from the large hotels and overcrowded tourist attractions found in town.
