On Saturday, October 4, 2025, over 30 volunteers, including employees, family, and friends of 7-Eleven Hawai‘i, came together to take part in a meaningful community work day at Papahana Kuaola located in Windward Oʻahu.

Papahana Kuaola is dedicated to cultural and environmental education through the restoration of native ecosystems and traditional Hawaiian practices. The organization serves as a living classroom where mālama ʻāina (caring for the land) and ʻike kūpuna (ancestral knowledge) come together through hands-on learning.

Our team spent the day cultivating kalo (taro), working in the loʻi, and engaging in hands-on learning. These experiences highlighted the strong connection between culture, history, and sustainability, and the importance of preserving these spaces for future generations.

We are grateful to Papahana Kuaola for welcoming us and for the opportunity to support their mission both through our Annual Golf Tournament and through hands-on service. Experiences like this reinforce our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve and honoring the land we call home.

In addition to volunteering on-site, our team was honored to present Papahana Kuaola with a check from funds raised through our Annual Golf Tournament. We extend our sincere mahalo to our vendors and partners whose generous support made this contribution possible. Together, we were able to raise funds that will help support Papahana Kuaola’s mission and continue uplifting Hawaiʻi through service, education, and mālama ʻāina.
